Parashat Ekev Parashat Ekev Hashem says, "You will be blessed from all of the peoples." And there will be no akara akara, meaning there will be no barren women in your midst. You will be blessed to be fruitful. Midrash The Midrash says the following. Lama Imenu Rivka Imenu Why was Rivka Imenu, Rebecca, why was she barren for so many years? Until Yitzchak Avinu Isaac had to pray with Rivka Imenu for Isaac had to pray with Rivka Imenu for her to have children. Listen to this. It's going to blow you away. K'dei shelo yihyu omrim, so that people should not say nigmar b'chatam shel achiha v'ima. People shouldn't say that it was due to the blessing of her brother and her mother that she became pregnant.
