Today's class is dedicated by Kazelle de Minkowitz in honor of her birthday on the second day of basis good health, happiness, prosperity and all the blessings and happy birthday. Thank you very much. So as we know the Shabbasim after Pesak [snorts] during the spring and the summer the custom by Jews is to learn Payyavas. So this week we'll explore a Mishna in the opening of the third chapter of Payyavas which is the chapter of this week. Last week we discussed the Mishna in chapter 2 about the five students of Rabb Zakai and how he enumerated their praises. And this week we'll explore the second Mishna of the third chapter of Pikyov. It's gimmel. Okay, that's a mistake. It's gimmel. Yeah. Mishna B says the Mishna Rabi Khan who was means second in command to the Coen to the high priest. Zan literally means like uh the vice like you have the vice president laavdul. So you have the vice kayen the vice high priest or the deputy high priest and that was an interesting position because the kayen of course was the one who ran and was in charge of all the service and the basiktay in the mishk and then later the kayang the bameikt but he had a deputy he had his gun so if the kangada for whatever reason could not do the work there was somebody to replace him this was especially important on a day like when only the kay had to do the void. So there was this gun. He was the second one. He was an assistant.
