Rambam Malchut Giroshin Chapter 9 Halacha 28 Our Lord Rambam says that the sages have established that if he tells the multitude to write a get or to sign or to deliver a get to his wife, if for writing each of you should say to them: Write a get to my wife, and likewise for delivery he should say: Each of you should deliver, and if for signing he should say to them: Every two of you should sign this get and give it to my wife. So far the Rambam's Halacha has been clarified. What is the clarification? If he tells the multitude to Rambam's Halacha has been clarified. What is the clarification? If he tells the multitude to write a get, not to write or sign or deliver a get to his wife, then he will not tell them: All of you write, all of you sign, but rather tell them: If it is for writing, each of you should write a get to my wife. Then what is the meaning of the language? The meaning is that he appoints one of them on his own to write a get to his wife, and whichever of them writes the get is his his wife, and whichever of them writes the get is his representative. So it is true that he does not care who of all ten will write it, but instead of telling everyone: Write a get to my wife, instead of saying this, he says in a different language: Each of you will write a get to my wife, and whoever writes it is the one who writes it.
