[music] >> Hello everyone. We've reached the Haftorah [music] for the Shabbat of Passover. On this Shabbat during the festival, we read a Haftorah [music] that speaks directly to the heart of Passover, the journey from slavery to freedom, >> [music] >> the transition from despair to hope, and the redemption of the Jewish people as [music] one nation in the land of Israel. All rooted in the belief that everything is in God's hands. And now, [music] let's get into the content of the Haftorah. The prophet Ezekiel tells us that the hand of God was upon him. And God led him by the spirit of the Lord to a place called a great valley. As he stands there, he sees a terrifying sight. [music] The valley is filled with bones. Not just a few. There are tons of bones. And the scariest thing [music] is, they look extremely dry, like they've been there for a very long time with no sign of life at all. God leads Ezekiel [music] around the valley so he can really see the situation. There are a huge number of bones. >> [music] >> All of them are very dry. Then God asks the prophet a direct question. Son of man, can these bones come alive? Ezekiel doesn't [music] answer by guessing. He humbly says, Lord God, you know. In other words, only you know what's possible and what isn't. Then God tells [music] Ezekiel to do something unusual, to prophesy to the bones, to speak to the dry bones and say to them, hear the word of the Lord.
