this Sirius was born and out of something that was unfortunate which is the loss of my father and my uncle as well as Los Angeles approached me with an idea if you'd like to do something in honor of my father my father was a lawyer it wasn't a religious person but culturally Eggman he had an affinity for Judaism into Israel my uncle who is observing wanted to kind of confine the love of the law with the love of being Jewish and out of that was born in the judicial series which is the intersection between American law and Jewish law over these last nine lectures we've been able to put together a series of thoughts on diverse topics but what I really found is had such a wonderful opportunity to bring incredible speakers from the community all over the United States and Israel to talk on important topics so important here from leaders of the community I don't wanna rich our lives and I hope that tonight is another opportunity for that this event has been put on in partnership with a partner's Detroit and Rabbi Shyam think who does so much like work so I'd like to thank [Applause] [Music] [Applause] from his family which is something that we have in common because I worked with my father for for many many years just as just the first we worked with his father and his but and then he moved on to the first justice is justice burns his central advantage is such a wonderful person so gracious and that's really gonna come through tonight he's a champion for rights for people that have disabilities I just learned tonight that he is involved with champion rights disabled individuals in the military over in Israel as well reach extends beyond Michigan [Applause] ago at this over to to pleasure to in
