In parshas Vayechi. In this week's portion. That raises many an eyebrow. And is profoundly enigmatic. Let me remind you, it's a story we're all familiar with, but let me let me remind you the story and the nuances of the story. In Parshas Vayechi, Yakov breathes his last breath. And in that process, before he passes, he speaks to all of his children. He blesses them. And he shares with them a final message. But before he does that, his beloved son Yosef, the Prime Minister of Egypt, Egypt brings his own two sons, Menashe and Ephraim, to be blessed by their Zayde, by their grandfather, Yakov Avinu, before he would pass on. Yakov is emotionally moved. He tells Yosef, "I never expected or imagined or anticipated to see your face. And yet God showed me not only you, but even your children." Just to be able to see you was an unexpected dream come true. To be able to see your children, wow. And at that point, Yosef takes both of these children, places them before Yakov in order to
