Vayikra: Rashi Interpretation of the Timing of the Squeezing of the Bird

I want to draw your attention to a possuk in this week's parsha that Rashi says there is a phrase that's out of order. If you have a Chumash parik aleph possuk tes vav. Parik aleph possuk tes vav vayikra veheekriv ay hakohain el hamizbayach umalakh es rosho veheektir hamizbayach venimtzah damo al ker hamizbayach aleph tes vav. Let's translate. And the kohain will offer to the mizbayach. This is talking about a sacrifice of a bird. Umalakh es rosho he'll do melikah on the head, right? He'll use his thumbnail to sever the head. Veheektir hamizbayach he'll burn it on the mizbayach. Venimtzah damo and then he'll squeeze out the blood al ker hamizbayach on the wall of the mizbayach. Now, there's something problematic with that. What do you mean the kohain will squeeze out its blood after he burns it? That's not the order. The order is he offers it, he severs the head, he he squeezes the blood, and then he burns it. He doesn't burn it and then squeeze out the blood. He squeezes out the blood and then he burns it. So, what does Rashi say? Umalakh vehektir venimtzah, he severs, he burns, and he squeezes. Efsher lomarkain me'achashehu makdir umotza, after he burns it he squeezes. El amah k'toras harosh ba'atzmo ve'haguf
