5:28 With the permission of all the holy ones, the holy people, with the permission of all the holy rabbanim, with the permission of the Rosh Yeshivah (the Gaon Rabbi Y. Ezrachi), and with the permission of the Gaon Rabbi Y. Halstock (the Rebbe of Ostrovtza), Rabbi [unclear], may the Holy One, blessed be He, give you great success and a good life, to all the holy rabbanim, all the holy and honored congregation.
5:57 May Hashem, blessed be He, give you good abundance, holy people. Hashem, blessed be He, chose us from all the peoples and gave us His Torah. May this learning and this siyum be a satisfaction before the Master of the heavens and the earth, for the kingship of G-d, blessed be He, to raise the Shechinah from the dust, for the uplifting of the Shechinah of our strength, for the kingship of the great, mighty and awesome G-d, that we merit the revelation of His kingship, swiftly and soon.
6:23 'May our eyes see and our heart rejoice,' that in this very place we merit to see the Kingdom of Heaven of G-d, blessed be He. This siyum - 'Tanna D'Vei Eliyahu': 'It was taught in the school of Eliyahu: Whoever studies halachos every day is assured that he is a son of the World to Come, as it says: "The ways of the world are his."' The joy of Simchas Torah - its source is in the name of Rav Hai Gaon; so it is written in 'Shaarei Teshuvah', siman 314: he mentions in the name of Rav Hai Gaon that this is the source of Simchas Torah: that one makes a feast for the completion of the Torah.
7:00 And so too it appears in the Rema, siman 669; so he writes in the name of the Rema, that they were accustomed to make a feast for the completion of the Torah. Then the 'Amud HaEmes' writes a new insight on the Rema: he says that what Rav Hai Gaon meant to say, that one makes the feast for the completion of the Torah - that these are the only two sources for the matter of the dancing and the hakafos and the joy: this is in the name of Rav Hai Gaon and in the name of Maran the Arizal, who would do the dancing and the rejoicing.
7:26 And so it is brought in the name of Rabbi Chaim Vital, that his teacher and master was accustomed to do this matter of the hakafah and the joy in honor of the Torah. Then the 'Amud HaEmes' writes that the main joy with which we rejoice on Simchas Torah is not only over the completion of the Torah, it is not only over the matter of the completion of the Torah, rather it is a matter of right away at Bereishis - that is the beginning of the Torah. Therefore we do not pause between 'V'zos HaBrachah' and 'Bereishis', so that it will be a new beginning.
7:52 And the main joy of the Torah is over the beginning in the Torah: that each one can begin in Torah, and be careful about the holy Torah, about learning the holy Torah, and strengthen himself in the holy Torah, for this is the main thing in learning. This is the main joy, this is the main thing of Simchas Torah: that each one has a letter in the holy Book, that each one is a part of the holy Torah - this is the main thing in learning: to crown the Holy One, blessed be He, to crown the kingship of G-d, blessed be He.

8:18 May it be His will that Hashem, blessed be He, redeem us with a complete redemption, that there be good abundance for all the Jewish people, and that there be a good life for all His people Israel, that there be length of days and years of life for the great ones of our generation, for the Torah scholars - length of days for the teachers of the generation, that the Holy One, blessed be He, give you length of days and years of life, 'Length of days in its right hand, in its left wealth and honor', you, and your wives, and your sons, and your daughters, and all that is yours, and all your students, to magnify the Kingdom of Heaven and to crown Hashem, blessed be He, in all the worlds, all of them, by making the Torah great, with ever more dignity and ever more strength.
8:51 About this it says in Tanna D'Vei Eliyahu: 'Whoever studies halachos every day is assured that he is a son of the World to Come, as it says: "The ways of the world are his" - do not read "halichos", ways, but "halachos", laws.' For this is the main thing in learning, when one finishes the Shas: the main thing is to begin right away and review the whole matter of the halachah, for this is the main thing - to bring the teaching out according to the halachah, to learn the halachah - what Hashem, blessed be He, wants from us, how we may merit to walk after Him, blessed be He, and to give Him satisfaction.
9:17 And this is the most essential of all: that no Jew forget the kingship of G-d; that we remember only His kingship, and think of Him, blessed be He, and give Him, blessed be He, satisfaction. And may it be His will that in this merit there be length of days and years of life for everyone, that there be good abundance, and that all the plagues and all the troubles be annulled from upon the Jewish people, that there be length of days and years for the whole generation, for all the generations, for all His people Israel, that everyone have miracles and wonders, signs and marvels, and that Hashem, blessed be He, redeem us with a complete redemption, and that the Beis HaMikdash, the Holy Temple, be built.
9:49 'We will return to you, (chapter) "Tinokes", and Tractate Niddah is concluded; we will return to you, the whole Shas.' 'We will return to you, Tractate Niddah and the whole Shas.' 'Our mind is on you, Tractate Niddah and the whole Shas.' Magnified and sanctified be His great Name. [unclear] ... and may the Holy One, blessed be He, reign in His kingship ... [unclear] [unclear] ... Amen, Amen!
10:48 Upon Israel, and upon the Rabbis, and upon their students, and upon all the students of their students, and upon all [unclear], [unclear] - and say Amen. - With the permission of the holy one of Israel, who does not take his mind off - who does not take his mind off the Creator of the world and His kingship, and the Holy One, blessed be He, loves him.
12:32 'Let Israel rejoice in its Maker' - in Torah and in good deeds. What is 'in its Maker'? Rejoice in yourself - the one who built you. Who built us? Who? Who - I am asking you. Torah! The Torah builds, it makes the person.
12:59 'In its Maker' - 'Let Israel rejoice in its Maker.' Who makes me? People talk about great people, we all talk about a great man, but who made him? I am asking you, who made him? You are not answering.
13:23 The holy Torah. This is what one needs to learn: to understand that the Torah makes the person, it makes the person, the image of G-d - this one must understand. And if one rejoices in the Torah, one rejoices 'in its Maker': the Torah makes me, it makes you, the Torah makes - therefore I rejoice in the Torah.
13:57 I promised; I do not want to speak at length, but we have seen that the purpose of everything - this day is not a day of work; this day, on this day, stop! Stop - go into holy places, reflect, learn mussar, learn the fear of Heaven, be built by the holy Torah - this is our task.
14:35 And this is the whole purpose of the festivals, the whole purpose of the festivals: that we come, by the kindness of Hashem, blessed be He, to love the Creator of the world, to fear Him, to thank Him, to sing, to praise before Him, and to praise those who serve Him with a whole heart, in truth and in faith, and with true self-sacrifice, as we are taking part here now.
15:17 I did not come to give mussar; I am not fit for that. I came only so that we know why we came. Why do you come? What happened? What is going on? Learn what Torah does. 'Anochi', 'I' - says the Gemara in Shabbos: the Alef is 'Ana', I; the Nun, 'nafshi', Myself; the Kaf, 'kesavis', wrote; the Yud, 'yehavis', gave.
15:57 You are bound to the Torah - you are bound with the Creator of the world. That's it! That's it. It is impossible to be bound with the Creator of the world if not with Torah. And by the kindness of Hashem, blessed be He, the community of Israel merits - not everyone can reach that far - and therefore there is here now, by the kindness of Hashem, one who can be the connector between the Creator of the world and all of Israel.
16:34 Let us pray that we succeed in accepting the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven, and this is only when we give to one another - 'they give permission to one another'. One no longer says, 'Let it be as I say' - that is not worth it.
17:00 'And they give permission to one another to sanctify their Creator, with serenity, with clear speech and with sweetness; the Kedushah - all of them as one all of them as one respond and say with awe:' 'Holy, holy, holy is Hashem.' And if we see what, by the kindness of Hashem, the Holy One, blessed be He, has granted the Jewish people now, we can see how one conducts oneself, how one loves every one of Israel, how one cares for every one, how one cares for the health of every one.
17:46 I am speaking of things that I know; I do not tell stories, I do not like stories for nothing; I am responsible for the words I speak, by the kindness of Hashem, blessed be He. It is all true. If you see a servant of Hashem, learn from him, know what Hashem is.
18:12 A servant of Hashem does not do anything, Heaven forbid, improper, that he did not see with Hashem, blessed be He. This is our merit today, always. But this is what I told you: I did not want to burst in, and I did not want to get into matters - everyone comes; who comes to me? Everyone comes to hear - why are you in the middle, interrupting? Is this how one behaves?
18:38 But since I thought that if you see an old Jew speaking this way, there are apparently serious things in the words, so may the Holy One, blessed be He, all the listeners - all the listeners - wrap in affection, with a special shining of His countenance, and all of it, with Hashem's help, will be seen upon our teacher and master, the tzaddik!
19:11 Fortunate are you, fortunate are you... Torah scholars, fortunate are you... [unclear] fortunate are you, [unclear]

May we speedily merit the revelation of His Kingdom, "Our eyes will behold, and our hearts will rejoice," May we merit seeing the Blessed One's Kingdom revealed in this very place. This siyum…. 'Jewish Law'] of the world are His." The origins of rejoicing on Simchas Torah are: as written in the name of Rav Hai Gaon in "Shaarei Teshuva," 344, regarding the practice of holding a festive meal on the Torah's completion, which likewise appears in the Rama, 5669,
