okay this is q a the floor is open what exactly is our connection to the dead in terms of international connection to the oh okay um the question is what connection do we have to the Dead uh it's a complicated question I don't know the full answer for to it I know a couple of things that I can that I can share with you um death is the separation of the soul from the body the result of which is the body is buried and disintegrates to be some sense reconstituted for resurrection and the Soul goes into a waiting pattern for Resurrection now it is conscious it's undergoing certain types of experience there's certain results of its activities in life which are being realized for it I'm basing myself on the sources what you do you as a child let's say for your parents who have passed on is that your mitzvos your actions can affect their state in the world to come because since they invested in you they had an effect on the what on what you do and how you behave and therefore things that you do are a continuation of their investments in the world so they are continuation of their record in the world and just as while they were alive if they did more mitzvos they would get more credit so when you do missiles you can give them credit also so that's one way in which you are connected to them
