In order to understand this piece, we need to take a look at three pesukim that the Zera Shimshon uh is from the end of Parshas Bamidbar. So, we have to go back a little bit for the first pasuk and then the next two pesukim will be in uh at the beginning of Parshas Nasso. So, uh there are three uh there are three in the Shevet Levi, in the tribe of Levi, there were three main families uh who did the uh work in the uh Ohel Moed who had very specific jobs related to the transportation of the Ohel Moed. Uh and they were called Kehas and uh Gershon, Kehas, and Merari were the three families. So, we're going to read a pasuk about each one in this uh is having to do with the census, the count that was taken of all of Bnei Yisrael, but that we saw in Parshas Yisrael, but that we saw in Parshas Bamidbar. Um and then after all of Bnei Yisrael was counted, Shevet Levi, the tribe of Levi, was counted and each of these families were included in that census. So, this is going to be Perek Dalet pasuk gimmel. It says as follows, "Mi ben shloshim shana v'ma'ala." From 30 years old and up "v'ad ben chamishim shana." Until 50 years uh and up.
