0:00 How can one be saved in this era? And will it be all right for the Jewish people? It is written in Shoftim, chapter 13, 'And the children of Israel did evil in the eyes of Hashem.' When the Jewish people do evil in the eyes of Hashem, the Holy One, blessed be He, gives them into the hand of the Philistines. So you learn from here exactly the opposite as well with a good lesson if we do what is good and right in the eyes of Hashem, blessed be He, then not only will He not give us into the hand of the Philistines, He will give us into His hands, His hands and His mercies and His kindnesses.
0:31 The greatest strengthening in emunah and bitachon is that each one must think with himself what is not good in him and be straight and good toward the Holy One, blessed be He. Every person knows in what he is not good. It is not for nothing that Nefilas Apayim was instituted after the Amidah prayer. I said once, why did they not institute Nefilas Apayim before the Amidah prayer? It seems one should do teshuvah before they pray. Why do we do teshuvah after the prayer? (As we find) in the Beis Yosef, siman 131.
0:59 So I once said the answer: that one must do teshuvah also for our prayer, because our prayer too is not as it should be. So when we do teshuvah after the prayer, then even if we prayed without intention, that too will go up. So one must strengthen the true connection with the Holy One, blessed be He, that the connection be true, and not a commandment of men learned by rote, and not everyone says the same thing and prays it. One must renew oneself in the service of the Creator, to understand His greatness and to be true with the Creator.
1:31 That is what I think, I do not... Will there be a good ending for the Jewish people, Rabbi? It will be the best for the Jewish people. The Holy One, blessed be He, loves us, 'I have loved you,' said Hashem, He will not forsake us and will not abandon us and will not forget the covenant of our fathers. 'And I will remember My covenant with Yaakov,' With Hashem's help.
