Have you ever looked at someone and seen strength on the outside, but inside they were silently fighting a battle no one could see? This week's parsha of Va'eira opens with a people crushed by pain so deep they couldn't even hear words of hope. The Torah says they didn't listen to Moshe because of shortness of breath and crushing labor. They didn't ignore him. They weren't weak. They were broken. [music] And the Torah understood that.
