thank you for having me so so let's start off tell the listeners a little bit about yourself and your background okay so I'm a kabad niik I grew up in the kabad community in London um and I went through the regular Yeshiva sister my Lon Manchester and Marist toown Los Angeles Australia know to the world and um while I was in yiva already kind of developed a I guess a kind of historical a I guess a kind of historical perspective some of my teachers my Mas andiva especially kind of just helped me to not only develop a greater understanding of the ideas ofus but also the historical trajectory of the the context in which these ideas were developed and so that interest kind of grew and blossomed and I started writing in short articles one thing led to another and eventually I was hired to work up about as a researcher writer editor and part of my job from the outset was to I guess have job from the outset was to I guess have one foot in the academic world and to read a lot of uh to to read whatever current research was coming out on kabad and and to to be in touch to participate in in those conversations uh participate in the in the further development of the field of the study of cism um and over the years I've published several articles in peerreview journals uh I go to the association of Jewish studies conference every year um
