Y so we have arrived at the and in the Talmud whenever it talks about it's speaking about the which is the essence and the main point of all our formal prayer. Remember we have informal prayer which is just speaking to Hashem from your heart in English or whatever your language is. This is my book simple. So, whatever your language is. And then we have formal prayer which we said it doesn't make a lot of sense because how can prayer be formal? But we gave lots of answer to that question and we're going to do once we understand what we're saying we're going to do it from our heart. Why is it called why is the estra called the amida? Why is it called the amida? Well, one reason is because you stand up to say it. Amida means to stand up. Stand up. But as what we've been doing going through the sidor, we've been saying through the sidor, we've been saying that there are these four levels of consciousness. There's physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. And the beginning of the sidor, the first part of the morning prayers are all about physicality. Wash your hands, go to the bathroom, open your eyes, get dressed, all of those things. The second part which is all emotional, psalms, psalms of praises, just opening our heart to the wonder of creation. The third part of is intellectual, a third part of is intellectual, a declaration of our faith. And the fourth is spiritual. This so we're now moving into the spiritual dimension. Way back many months ago when we started this course we said that this is all based on Jacob's ladder. So Jacob's ladder had four steps physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. So what says is it is called the amid because you're on the top of the ladder now. You're just standing there on top
