is continuing his soliloquy moshe continues his monologue to the jewish people he continues to inspire them as they're about to cross the threshold into the land of israel and realize their dream their whole growth as a nation their purpose and creation and he continues to try to warn them and position them and inspire them that they should be mindful of the threats that loom of the dangers that they could fall prey to of how they can be sure to be focused on who they need to be and tell them we're not going to repeat we've spent a lot of time on this opening in previous years what does it mean judges and officers place for you the notion that the human being we all have many openings and entrances into our body and through that into our mind and into our soul our eyes our nostrils our mouth our ears we have many gates we have many entrance ways and we need both shot in the show trend we need judges we need to show good judgment clear judgment on clouded judgment prudent judgment and as or maybe more importantly show trim we need police officers meaning you can have all the judgment in the world give it all the clarity in the world you can have all of the correct perspective in the world but if you lack the discipline if you don't have the show trim if you're not disciplined in being able to show the self-control to be able to enact or to be able to express or manifest a good judgment then what's it worth then what's it worth the um teach us
