The opening of this shiur, in Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit’s own words — taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.

You my [music] [singing] birthday. [music] [singing] Have you ever had someone serve you food and you kind of felt awkward that they were serving you? Let me tell you the first time that happened to me years ago when I was learning by my rebby. Sometimes I go by his apartment to ask him a shila and out of nowhere he would say, "Hey, have you had something to eat? Would you like some breakfast?" And before I could protest, he's frying eggs and toasting butter and serving me like a waiter. And I was thinking to myself, this doesn't make sense. I should be serving him. Now, let's fast forward several years. I'm the Revy and I have some to meet him. Uh, come by for shabas. I'm serving them and they're squirming and they're saying, "Rebi, please let us serve you." And I smiled to myself. Eventually, I smiled to myself. I know where my Rebby got this from. There's a Gumar in Kaducian where Robin Guml is slurring a wedding for one of his kids and all the Gdoleim are there who are his Tom and he's serving them drinks and of course they say to him Rebby we should be serving you.
