Rebbe Letters: Connecting to a Rebbe After His Passing

Good evening. Welcome back to our study of the labbased. This is class number three in our gimmel tamas hakana. We started on gimmel civ the third day of the Hebrew month of sivven which is 30 days a month before gimmel tamas the third day of the Hebrew month of Thomas which is the lababis yard site. So this is our third class and we've been learning letters of the Reb from different volumes of Igris Kaidesh that have to do with the subject of his kashras. His kash is a Hebrew word which uh means connection but specifically when we when we use the word hisash we mean the relationship between aba and uh that's what we're talking about. So tonight's letter is from Igris Kadesh Kiml volume 3 and it's a letter from Tshin Yud from the year of the Fredb's passing previous the sixth rebuk passed away [sighs] that's the the winter of uh 1950 And for a year following his passing, the Rebbe, our Reb, the seventh Reb did not officially accept the leadership. However, in many capacities, he was acting as a Rebe at that point. And this letter which is written during that window of that first year is uh I guess a case in point. So let's take a look at the letter tshin. Okay, so we're talking about the last month. The last month of the year tshinyalus is passing wasat. So we're talking about um should I count it out? Sure, why not? uh talking about six, seven months later. Um, and the deba is writing to a very important person, a very revered and illustrious rabbitic figure. As you're going to see from the honorific titles, very unusual honorific titles that the Reba bestows upon the recipient of this letter. ishimal mayor here. This is still titles.
