what's greater loving God or loving your fellow human being your fellow Jew and the rebi answered what could be greater than loving the one that God himself loves and that that was the answer okay everybody got that so what he was essentially saying was that ultimately we have a Mitzvah in the Torah to love God we also have a Mitzvah in the Torah to love our fellow person fellow Jew now when we look at it superficially we might think okay loving God it's much more important because because God is is is the boss he's our King he's our creator so our attention and our Focus needs to be on God when you add to this formula that God loves his children so it it it shifts things because ultimately if we want to love God so there's a big question we have to face what can we really give God what can we do for God God doesn't really need us so how can I love God how can I fully love God even the things that I can so to speak do for God it's really him being nice to me affording me this opportunity to do for him so that I can gain in the end but if I see one of his children that are suffering that are in need that need love and need care need some concern and I give that to the one of my Jewish brothers so then I'm making Hashem happy perhaps in a more direct and a more powerful way than if I try to make God so to speak happy and so the the balat adak is the rabbi that said this so is essentially saying is that when it comes to love loving God or loving your fellow when you love your fellow you're also loving
