Welcome everyone to our weekly sh on the paras with the per of um today we're going to be doing a douch it's a little bit off of we're we are we are in parat technically but we're going to do a douch from paras anyway last week we didn't have a so we're going to do a douch from last week because I found it to be somewhat or very much applicable something we can learn uh something we can learn from it. So we're going to be doing and you'll see that we'll we'll we're going to connect it to certain things that are going on. So now the para says the para has a mitzvah it's a tivi from the Torah a commandment from the Torah that tells us we are not allowed to accept ammonites and moabites into the Jewish nation. It's a direct commandment from the Torah. The Torah says they shall never enter the Jewish community. Now, many people don't know, but that doesn't mean that Ammonites and Moabites cannot convert. They can convert, but they'll have to have their own community. Meaning, they can convert and marry into each other, but they're never allowed to enter into Khalashem. They're never allowed to enter and marry a regular Jew. Even if they do convert, they're completely assured to enter the regular Jewish nation. Ammonites and Moabites. And when the Torah tells us, it's very interesting. It's an interesting mitzvah because when the Torah tells us why sorry when the Torah gives us this command, it tells us the why of this command, which is quite a very logical reason behind why the Torah this gives us this commandment. The Torah says,
