The Mechaber just said who is saying the Mechaber is saying the Rambam that when you break a piece, it should not be too small that you look stingy and not too big because you look like you're a glutton. Says Ramo, "V'Shabbos lo yakhtokh bakikarah acharei brachah." Shabbos, don't cut the loaf until after the brachah. "Kedei she'yehei hakikarah shleimah." So, it sounds like even though the Mechaber said, "Tzorech lakhtokh meat." But, on Shabbos, don't even cut a little bit. "Im kamah lo gam mashcha d'chakakh k'mai b'chol y'mei ha'chol im y'hei shoche'ach y'hei chotze'ach k'mai b'chol y'mei ha'chol, it's not mazik." By the way, the Ramo is mashma that maybe you are m'sammen a little bit. You do you do make a little siman. It says you're not supposed to cut like during the week. During the week, you should literally make a incision. On Shabbos, it's almost like you don't even make an incision. Cuz lashon of the Ramo is "Im kamah lo gam mashcha d'chakakh k'mai b'chol Why do you have to say k'mai b'chol? Sounds like something you do do. "V'zeh hadin im y'hei ocheil m'kabei'ah acharei ha'netilah v'acharei ha'brachah, this din is not break more than a beitzah's worth." That's only during the week.
