First of all, the Shach is the primary commentary on the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah and Choshen Mishpat. Furthermore, the Shach married the son that the Shach married the daughter of the great grandson of the Rama. So, the Shach was married to a descendant of the Rama. And the Shach was born in 1622. The most extensive commentary on Yoreh De'ah is the Shach. Does anybody know what year Shach was written in? It was written in the year B'achodesh. B'achodesh is the year 1646. The greatest work ever written on Yoreh De'ah was written when the Shach was 24 years old. Brings the Chida, it's a davar nifla. The Shach wrote his commentary at 24 years old. The Chida further points out that if you read the Shach on Yoreh De'ah, you'll see that he had also written a commentary on the Torah in the Beis Yosef, which we don't have. And that's something he wrote even before he was 24 years old. I'm going to give you a little sampling because we know that the Taz was published the very same year. And the Taz was much The Taz was much older than the Shach. And in that very same year, both of these sefarim were published.
