shalom my good friends we will talk about teshuva repentance why because it is this is the theme of the month we are in the month in the beginning of the month of elul which precedes rosh hashanah so this is the month of preparation so therefore i find it very important to talk about teshuva i mean what is teshuva coming back which means there is no such a thing as a jew who changes his religion there is no such thing of course there are many problems with the evil inclination habit influence company that is the wrong one and so forth but nevertheless there is always the possibility for a jew to regain again his past his sources and that's called teshuva when a jew comes back to himself number one and then to his own to the idea of his ancestors that's called teshuva and the guy now is very serious to change his life so teshuva is also a kind of hindus a novelty something new that is that is done in his own body in his own system in his own understanding so even though the parasha is parashat shaftim which means judges and of course according to the literal meaning the first verse of this parasha is shafitim judges and officers shall you appoint in all your cities that's very easy to understand because in every country there is such a law in every city there is a law and if there is a law that means there are judges and it is an obligation upon the people to appoint judges and also the officers
