0:00 Another very important thing, which Maran the Chida writes in the name of the Zohar, Shemos, page 10: one need not be stressed about it, yes - but the month of Teves, the month of Teves itself - and Shevat, part of it. The month of Teves is a month in which judgments grow strong. This month - one need not be frightened by it and not be stressed by it, but simply to be careful on the roads, in all kinds of places.

0:24 People tend to be sick or weak in the month of Teves. The month is a month that has in it [unclear] of judgment, so one needs to sweeten it by saying Tehillim. 'Who can tell the mighty acts of Hashem, make heard all His praise.' Therefore it is worthwhile and recommended for people who want to sweeten the judgments in the month of Teves - many holy ones and tzaddikim were accustomed to say Tehillim, a few psalms every day, in order to cancel the judgments of this month from upon themselves, and then one feels nothing at all.

0:54 So there are those whose custom is that from Rosh Chodesh Teves - a custom of tzaddikim, chassidim and men of deeds - to say some of the Tehillim in order to cancel the judgments of the month of Teves, until Tu BiShvat; and Tu BiShvat is already a great sweetening, but the month of Shevat is also really a little - so from Rosh Chodesh Shevat it is fine, it is already good tidings, one need not worry. But in the month of Teves it is recommended, for whoever wants and whoever can, to say every day two psalms, three, as many as he wants, to finish through them the book of Tehillim in this month, once, twice, whoever wants - but about this too one need not worry.

1:29 Only it is worthwhile simply to be more careful, or at least to say Psalm 91, 'He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High', which is a segulah for protection. This is a good practice for the month of Teves, truly, so that we will have good tidings.
