sefer. So, the first one was Sefer Hamada. He said, "Why is it called Sefer Hamada? The book of knowledge, because it includes all the mitzvahs she'ein ikar da'as Moshe Rabbeinu betzaruch leida'as ulechulu as akol. The mitzvahs that constitute that constitute the foundations of the faith of Moshe Rabbeinu, and a person has to know them as a prerequisite to everything else." What's the second sefer? The second sefer is Ahavah, the book of love. Here the Rambam said, "I will include all of the mitzvahs that are tedirus, that are consistent. They're perpetual mitzvahs. They're not like Pesach, Shavuos, Sukkos that come only once a year. But these are the mitzvahs that are constant, and we were given these mitzvahs kdei leha'iv es hamokem to be able to cultivate our love to Hashem and to remember him constantly. For example, the mitzvah of Krias Shema, the mitzvah of tefillah, the mitzvah of tefillin, the mitzvah of brachos, the mitzvah of a bris as the Rambam said, "That is the sign in our flesh when we're not wearing tefillin, even when we're not wearing tzitzis." So, this is the book of Ahavah, the book that's dedicated to Ahavah, to love, to the ongoing emotional and practical relationship between the Jew and the creator of the world. Sefer Ahavah, the Rambam always begins with a pasuk. Every one of the 14 sefarim begins with a special pasuk of Tehillim. Says, "Besheim Hashem keloyim in the name of Hashem, the God of the world, Ma ah'avti Sorasecha kol hayom sichasi." This is a pasuk in Tehillim kuf yud tes. David Hamelech says, "How much I love your Torah. This is my conversation all day." And of course, this is the appropriate introduction to the safer of ahava, "Mah ahhavti Torahcha kol hayom sichasi."
