In this lecture, we're going to speak about a very important topic. The name of it is Shabbat, the Sabbath. This is one of the most important subject in Judaism as we, the Jewish people, received the Torah from God 3,300 years ago in Mount Sinai, 49 days after we came out of Egypt after 210 years that the Jewish nation were in Egypt when they were still the Hebrews. They were not officially Jewish yet. Seven weeks later, we got the Torah in a public event in front of 3 and 1/2 million people, approximately. They all witnessed Moses speaking to God and everybody witnessed the entire event. Let's not forget that a year before they came out of Egypt, God striked the Egyptian nation with 10 plagues as we already in the Bible and all of them witnessed the miracles one after the other which happened every month accordingly just before the Exodus of Egypt. As we now arrive to the Mount Sinai, all of us witnessed the glory of God coming down on the mountain as is described in the chapter of Jethro in the Torah that the entire nation were panic and they got very scared for the appearance of God for the first and last time in the history. There was a discovery of the creator of the world to a very large group of people. Until then, only individuals had the merit to speak to God privately such as Abraham,
