there are problems that affect so many and yet so few talk about them which is why Rabbi EF from Goldberg and Moshe yakness bring you out of the Shadows a Jewish approach to mental health Rabbi Goldberg and Moshe speak to leaders in the field and discuss contemporary challenges to help us better understand mental health and those who are struggling with it this month's topic anxiety on this episode we are joined by Dr David H rosmery associate professor at Harvard Medical School and founder and director of the center for anxiety and by Jessica and Eton two individuals Boca Raton Synagogue and your amazing program onward living the adopt which is the union between the two and what we're trying to do together so maybe share a little bit more about about onward and and why a topic like anxiety tonight's topic that we're really going to try to tackle together and with our guests why is that relevant to somebody who specializes in addiction yeah so that's a great Point again welcome everyone um yeah I mean onward living is a you know Jewish rehabilitation program and and like every good rehab um really when you think in terms of somebody working through addiction or any mental health issue so much of the solution it revolves around coming out of the shadows and really sharing that and validating and understanding what's going on with the individual it's not just the behavioral intervention as far as stopping the the you know the dangerous Behavior but it's really understanding what's going on under the hood and onward living is a it's a Jewish Rehab where we've essentially created a platform where folks can get honest and can get vulnerable and share what's going on with themselves they could come out of the Shadows uh that's really what it's about
