[Music] everybody uh today I wanted to come maybe take a break from the uh para itself and talk a little bit about uh the month of el and the upcoming holiday of of roshes uh we know that rashishana is the anniversary of the creation of Adam meaning to say God began to create the world on the 25th of this month of El I there was no calendar yet but this would have been the date of the 25th of el and the sixth day of creation is the first of Tish and that is when Adam was made and the reason why rosashana is the day of judgment uh is precisely because it is the anniversary of the creation of man as we say in our doing today is the birthday of the world and therefore every year God kind of re-evaluates whether it's worthwhile to give us another year of Life uh and and the like uh that is why it is said that on rashash God decides who lives and who uh dies and uh the final judgment is not made until yam kipur so the so-called 10 days of repentance between rashash and yum kipur are a time for a second chance uh in the language of our sages the way it's described is an Rashana God writes
