things are starting to look really really really uh exciting as we head towards yom kippur and one of the things that we have been focusing on is this idea of creating a balance in our perspective of chiva specifically in reference to video because video is really a point of self-indictment and a real brutal self-criticism and therefore there's a temptation for us to begin to wallow in temptation for us to begin to wallow in self-deprecation which becomes ironically for me and i don't know if this is a shared experience but i have a sense that maybe there's this ease when we become self-deprecating for us to actually feel in some bizarre way comforted by the fact that we can feel that we're just terrible terrible terrible people and i have a sense thank you shmero that the reason for this um comfort ironic comfort in feeling i'm terrible oh my gosh i'm feeling i'm terrible oh my gosh i'm worse is because when you feel that you are so terrible you kind of feel like you're lost cause there's an incredible advantage about being a lost cause you don't have to do anything so it's much harder to actually say i'm not a lost cause i'm actually pretty okay but i've got these areas specifically in regard to specifically in gratitude specifically in regard to and when you do that it becomes much and when you do that it becomes much more real much more painful ironically because then it's really related to my real life and not to this fantastical self-deprecation um wallowing in self-indulgent negativity so what i'd like to go through is to illustrate that just a drop by going through the video there's another point that draft tesla discusses in regard to the video and he points out something which is counter-intuitive
