hello my friends uh good nerve Travis happy Friday fall Bay and beautiful wonderful and uplifting inspirational Shabbos this is a very special Shabbos because this is the Shabbos that precedes the holiday of Hanukkah it's very interesting to note that every single year the part show the weekly Torah reading of this week falls out either the shot of people or Hanukkah or the Shabbos on cargo and we know nothing happens for nothing especially a Torah reading so we need to figure out what is it that this week's toll reading has something similar something we can learn about Hanukkah from the Torah Hanukkah from the Torah well this sword reading talks about how the fight between the brothers 10 of the brothers 10 of the sons of yaakov decided that Yosef deserved to either the death penalty or to be banished from the family they felt mistakenly so that he was rebelling mistakenly so that he was rebelling against the eventual Kingdom that was coming from the his brother yehudu and he felt that he was going to be the king or that his descendants were going to be kicks and therefore they decided to have him executed one brother Reuben decided on his own that he thinks you're making a mistake but what's he gonna do they're not going but what's he gonna do they're not going to listen to him so he said let's put on one of the boros which means one of the pits cisterns in the desert that people dig for water was empty at least we think so for at first glance put them in there and let them go why should we have his blood on our hands Ruben's thought was after everybody goes home
