0:04 It is written in Midrash Rabbah on Eichah, at the beginning of the Midrash, that when the Beis HaMikdash, the Holy Temple, was destroyed, Matat came - the angel Matat - before the Holy One, blessed be He - it is also in Tractate Chagigah, page 5b - and began to weep before the Holy One, blessed be He, over the destruction. The Holy One, blessed be He, said to him, to Matat: "If you do not let Me weep, I will go and weep in My own place."
0:35 "My soul will weep in secret." The Holy One, blessed be He, has a place that is called "in secret", where the Holy One, blessed be He, weeps, alone, and no one enters there; even Matat has no permission to enter that place, because the Holy One, blessed be He, weeps there. And then the Holy One, blessed be He, began to weep, and He wept and said, "My children, where are you?
1:01 My Kohanim, where are you? Levites, My beloved ones, where are you? Where are My people? Where are My beloved ones?" The Holy One, blessed be He, began to weep; He wept, wept, wept, in great pain over the Jewish people, over the suffering, over the destruction, over all that we have come to, over the whole exile. The Holy One, blessed be He, began to weep; He wept, wept over the Jewish people. And this weeping is the departure of the Shechinah from the Temple.
1:31 At the time the Shechinah departed from the Temple, the Shechinah would go, embracing and kissing the walls and the House - so says the Midrash there - and it continues and says, and she would say, "Farewell, My Holy Temple, farewell, My royal house, farewell, My precious house." And so the Shechinah would go, kissing the walls of the Temple, and departing upward, ever higher.
1:59 Rabbi Yonasan says, three years, three years, the Shechinah sat and waited on the Mount of Olives, perhaps the Jewish people would do teshuvah. Because the Jewish people did not do teshuvah, the Shechinah went up and up, rising upward, upward, upward, upward, until she returned to her own heaven.

The Yanuka - "My soul will weep in secret." Very moving! In Midrash Rabbah, Eicha (Lamentations), in the beginning of the Midrash, it is written that when the Beis HaMikdash (Temple) was destroyed the angel Matat came before the Holy One, blessed is He, (this is also mentioned in Tractate Chagigah 5b) and began to weep before the Holy One, blessed is He, over the destruction. The Holy One told Matat ‘If you do not leave me alone to cry,’ ‘I will go and cry in My secret place.’ “in secret My soul will weep” (Jer 13:17) The Holy One has a place for Himself called “the secret place” where the Holy One cries in seclusion and no one enters that place. Even Matat does not have permission to enter because the Holy One cries there. And then, the Holy One began to cry He wept and said, ‘My sons, where are you?’
