we are here with a friend Dr yaka fredman who is a board certified psychiatrist uh with a private practice in Jerusalem he's the former chief resident of inpatient Psychiatry at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry residency training program and um a friend and someone who has been on Soul words on our uh program here recently in fact it wasn't so recently I was just uh looking back at it was right before pesak and we were talking about Passover and the those holidays and now here we are in the days leading up to uh rosashana to the new year so we decided let's have the conversation again Dr fredman thank you for joining us Reby thanks so much for having me uh I'm working on being a soul brother so I guess being on Soul words helps with that and uh if the melik is in the field then uh you know Dr Freeman is back soul wordss with Rabbi tab so a pleasure to it's a pleasure for me as well okay so let's just jump straight into it um as I prefaced the last time that we spoke I'm a rabbi I am not a mental health professional that is not my training that's not my background however because of the way that I learn Torah and the way that I teach Torah I do end up confronting a lot of the uh the inner conflicts and the the the the struggles that that I as a person and that people
