Shalom everybody and welcome back to insights in the parish of the week. This week we have two parot tazuya and msor where the main theme is a person who becomes lepous leprosy. This is an amazing concept really. Uh Rashi says already from the beginning that this is the punishment for people who speak slander. People who slander others, their punishment is to be lepous. Then all the all the results, all the the ramifications that happen because of being lepous that if he's he's now rendered impure by the cohen, he has to be exiled, kicked out from all three camps in the desert. The camp of the tabernacle, the camp of the Levites, and the camp of Israel. Kicked out from all three bad verses. He has to sit alone. What a punishment. All this because he spoke slander. Okay. The zora says even more powerful. The zora says that someone who has leprosy, he has what's called he has a closing of the upper light. In our context, we're talking about the in lesson 24. This is the closing off of a person's accessing the infinite light. A person who slanders his punishment is that he's blocked off, closed off and to the extreme that he has to even physically be sitting alone. He has to cover himself like a like a person like who's embarrassed in shame like a mourner and he has to go bad to sit out and if even someone tries to come close to him he say hey I'm tame I'm tame he has to he has to announce to the person that he's impure what's going on all this because of because of speaking slander slander is a bitty is a bit like a there there's something here to investigate what is slander why would people speak
