from Bay Spanish. So, uh we like to treat this as a class rather than a performance. Um I hope I'm feeling your brain, of course, your heart as well, but particularly your brain. I spoke about yon moment gesture for men for women. Now I'm speaking to the message is not different but the context is extremely different. We are a yeshiva and although our population is much different than uh I guess the student bodies of most of the in in this country. We were part of the yeshiva system. We identified with it. Technically though we have to wait in your sh uh the world of the yeshivas ignores yoma and yaw and your man's load al together. I remember all my years in the mirror like there was no way of knowing. Of course, you never heard the sirens because the learning of bass was just so loud. barely heard your your own voice. It was totally ignoring. Um, and we understood where it was coming from. I say we don't want to be presumptuous, but you know, there's the party line and then there's people who know better. We understood the statement that was being made by ignoring and we got the message. But I say all thinking people also understood that this black and white philosophy, Ashkafa as we call it was something that was perhaps a necessity for the sake of giving clear messages. But it came at the expense of really giving the total perspective. You know, with the creation of the state, there was a lot of confusion. We have to remember the Holocaust sort of ended in 45. The state was declared in 48. I wasn't alive yet. I heard the account from my parents 48. They were immigrants
