the Rambamades in the book of mitzvos where he enumerates the 613 mitzvah of the Torah he says that there's a mitzvah which means to articulate and confess the sins that you have perpetrated as it says in the Torah in the portion of chapter Five, and you shall confess and articulate the sins that you have done. Now, it's interesting to note there are 613 commandments in the Torah. On the holiday of God came down onto the mountain and he spoke the ten commandments. All of us, every single Jew, man, woman, and child, saw God speaking those ten commandments. And we heard from God those ten commandments. This was on the sixth day of the month of Shiva. On the following day, on the seventh day of the month of Shiva, Moses goes up to the mountain. He goes up to God. For the next 40 days and 40 nights, he has taught the entire Torah, all 613 commandments of the Torah. He comes down 40 days later with the tablets in his hand and the knowledge of all the 613 commandments that he teaches us over the next 40 years in the desert. Over the next 40 years, when the Jewish people were roaming the desert, Moses enumerated and taught in tremendous detail to all of us the entire Torah, all 613 commandments of the Torah. What they are, what are the 613? There's disputes amongst the sages, but we all know and we all agree that there are 613 commandments. And this is taught to a child. When the child is able to speak,
