So today, we are witnessing the end of possibilities. That would perhaps be the most striking messianic sign. The world is not at all like in my childhood, when I, well, in my youth, when I was 15, the world seemed wonderful, it seemed to have a bright future. Today, we are condemned to a certain form of gloom. Wars, global warming, the rise of fascism, generalized dumbing down by AI, by the media, by social networks. And so we have a sort of universal dogma that there is no other solution, no alternative, no substitute for the capitalist system. And there we are. It’s the end of history, it won’t go any further, and we are instead in a phase of regression that may lead us to annihilation. And some predict, they predict the annihilation of the human species, whether because of, or because of nuclear weapons, or because of other things. And the horizon is completely closed. So we have absolutely buried the utopia of a renewal essential for universal happiness. Uh to make the present moment absolute, and to say, well, there is no more future. And so we have something, and this is what is quite astonishing, a neutralization of the new. There is nothing new anymore. For example, AI is quite extraordinary in this regard, artificial intelligence is that AI is mainly linked to the predictable, to what is probable. And it works very well within the probable. It predicts the future in an incredible way. The weather, that's AI. The ability to predict the future and ensure with 99% certainty that it is true is much
