doesn't want sacrifice, human sacrifice, but by a person humbling their heart in front of Hashem, that is the way of gaining the favor of shamayim. Um So, now in Ois Chovav on page 36, Rabbeinu Yonah tells tells us that one of the reasons why the ba'al teshuvah is responsible to humble himself is because he needs to remove the middos that caused him to sin in the first place. And ga'avah, arrogance, is one of the roots of sin. Arrogance really fuels the yetzer hara. In Ois Chovav Zion, Rabbeinu Yonah says, "Ha'ga'avah mesoveves kamah aveiros." Ga'avah causes many sins, and it causes the yetzer hara to uh become bigger and stronger in a person. And um and aside from the fact that ga'avah causes many sins, ga'avah itself is a sin. Okay? If person is filled with accomplishment, you don't hear about it. Person is unworthy, so now everybody has to hear about all the little the few little things a person did, okay? So, in Ois Chofetz Chaim, Rabbeinu Yonah gives us another aspect, another
