people are listening to you we're show us the new Rav Rabbi beagle Eisen and uh I'm very grateful to see you Rabbi mausk and rabbits and bausk actually probably the main reason I agreed to come is for the warm introduction that the Robinson offers me and uh that's very meaningful and uh something I cherish greatly I'm very honored to see my dear friend rather Mendel Becker who is a great um talented Taurus scholar who's doing tremendous work out here on the island so I want to thank the entire rabbinical and Robinson staff over here at the Young Israel of East Northport and I wish them all great success good health and may Hashem Grant all of their wishes what yeah we'll keep that on the table and if you want to send in a donation to The Young Israel of East Northport as Robinson bass mentioned it is her favorite charity 1946 it's the first Yom Kippur after the war they had just finished reading the Torah in a DP Camp called felderfink which was a gathering of many of the broken shells those who had survived the terrible catastrophe and who are groping to put the shattered pieces of their lives back together again and they had just finished reading the Torah and it was Yom Kippur it was the holiest day of the year and on that day General Eisenhower the supreme commander of the Allied Forces and soon to be the 34th president of the United States came to visit this DP camp a few days earlier they received word that General Eisenhower was coming to the camp and they would have to appoint the representative to speak on behalf of the survivors to greet him and there would have to be a speech maybe a few speeches
