all right hello everybody morning welcome back to the S podcast here we go for round two today we will be talking about relationships uh relationships that have a past and a present specifically relationships uh between Amel the Jewish people and Hashem and relationships of course like that as they mirror themselves in our own relationship ship with children and parents parents and children to get us started and to set the stage mosha take it away thank you schoy first of all just W to comment on the the new mics say we're upgrading from last week and got a lot of feedback on that got a lot of feedback on the mics the mics were dister hopefully everyone can hear us clearly this time and hopefully the message will come across um the we're learning this week is volume 21 of the third and and in very short the rebba is focused on the verse that refers to the Jewish people as my firstborn child it's the first time the Torah mentions the Jewish people as a child of Hashem and the Reb contrasts this to other places where we see the value of the small child and here we seem to be emphasizing the firstborn child or the older child and the the point of the throughout is to highlight the value of the older child that although the younger child has a more generic love a more unconditional love the older child who's an accomplished person if he's able to fuse together the essence of the relationship and his accomplishments the the the love is much more profound from Hashem to the Jew because it is all encompassing it permeates the entire
