[Music] [Applause] Good morning, dear friends. We are happy to be with you again today for the study and reading of our weekly Aftara. We are now beginning the second book of the Torah, the Book of Shemot. In this Book of Shemot, we see that for this first parashah of the Book of Shemot, which is called Shemot, there are two Aftaras. two Aftaras. The Ashkenazim will read an Aftara taken from the Book of Isaiah, that is, the Prophet Isaiah, chapter 27. Meanwhile, the Sparadim will read an Aftara taken from the Prophet Jeremiah, Irmia Irmiaou, and another Aftara that we also traditionally read during the three weeks of mourning between the 17th of Tammus and the 9th of Av. It is an Aftara that Tammus and the 9th of Av. It is an Aftara that we recite during this period. So, the Aftara, in truth, corresponds to... For the Sephardim, it is therefore the verse that begins with "Divramiaou Ben Khilkou," the words of Irmiao, son of Khilkiaou. We are, of course, speaking of the prophet Jeremiah.
