um good evening uh first of all I'd like to thank rebbi new house and AAS Tor congregation for hosting this year tonight my name is David rosenblad and I work as a commercial litigator at the law firm of Stockon and Braverman in downtown Fort Lauderdale a little over a year ago my firm partnered with a North Miami Beach Kell to start the business halaka awareness initiative essentially our goal was to provide clients and other Jewish businessmen in the community with the Practical knowledge regard regarding operating successful businesses in the secular World while being fully compliant with Haka this includes providing guidance regarding settling disputes in bason rather than civil court drafting Hally compliant contracts and halic estate planning as part of this initiative my firm and other local law firms host monthly lunch and learns which can be intended over Zoom the initiative also has shiur and kabor across the south Florida Jewish community on the beam of there we have some brochures and QR codes if anyone's interested unfortunately last week we suffered a tremendous loss Rabbi parit Lane ol a shalam was a young brilliant attorney practicing in my Law Firm he was a big supporter of this initiative he always attended the events and the shurm he promoted the classes as well he was a gamor rebi at Hebrew Academy High School and then at Yeshiva High School in bokeh he took Law School courses in the evening while teaching
