0:00 Salvations to everyone, a good life. Now, not to forget - in the name of our Rebbe, the holy Shelah, and our Rebbe, the author of Arugas HaBosem. When we say the Mussaf prayer, we say 'A new altar in Zion You shall establish,' the Arugas HaBosem writes to have in mind that the altar be built, that whoever does not have this in mind, it is as if he did not pray Mussaf. Because it is so serious, it is important to have in mind 'A new altar in Zion You shall establish'; this is the main intention of the Mussaf prayer. And the holy Shelah says to do teshuvah before this month.

0:26 Why? It is a kind of Rosh Hashanah for the month that passed, and it also makes a tikkun for the future. The Holy One, blessed be He, made renewal throughout the year. See how the Holy One, blessed be He, renews; all the time creation is in renewal. Everything the Holy One, blessed be He, does is for renewal, always. The day, there is the day; after that there is the afternoon. If you did not renew yourself in the day, renew yourself at noon; if you did not renew yourself at noon, renew yourself in the evening; if not in the evening, renew yourself at night; if not at night, renew yourself at midnight; if not at midnight, renew yourself in the last watch - in the last watch, at dawn; if not at dawn, renew yourself at sunrise - sunrise, and after that. All the time you have renewal; all the time the times change. And if you did not renew yourself on that day, you have the renewal of the week. If you did not renew yourself in that week,

1:14 renew yourself in that month. If you did not renew yourself in that month, renew yourself in the year. That is why the Holy One, blessed be He, made for us - there are the festivals before, of course, If you did not renew yourself in that week and in that month, in the times and the appointed days, in the festivals and so on - if you did not renew yourself in this too, renew yourself on Rosh Hashanah. That is why the holy Shelah explains that in fact this is a kind of tikkun through teshuvah that we do now, and so one must do a very great teshuvah in this prayer of Mussaf; and it corrects and atones for the whole month.

1:45 like a kind of atonement: it makes a tikkun for us for the whole month, and also draws blessing onto the coming month. So with Hashem's help, may we merit that kedushah and purity be drawn upon us, to take off the tefillin right after the Kaddish, with Hashem's help, and to pray with great intention.
