[Music] good evening where this is we're going to be doing OS gimmel section number three before we do we're going to take a look at tupsukim uh right from the beginning of the Parsha this is peric vov in safer by yukra and we're going to read sukem gimmel and dalid what the Torah is talking about here is uh one of the first things that happens in the mishkan or that used to happen in the mishkan and then later on in the base on mikdash and that was that a Cohen would come in uh and go up go up the ramp to the Miss bath and perform a Mitzvah called trumas hadeshan separating ash from the top of the mizbayak taking some ashes in a special container from the top of his bath and then the Cohen would descend down the ramp and place those ashes on the side next to the uh where the mizbayak was located and we're going to also find out that at certain times uh if a large amount of Ashes accumulated on top of the mizbayak and formed a a kind of big pile right in the middle of this matter that that that uh had to be taken away and the excess ashes had to be removed to uh outside of the temple outside of the mishkan or the base on miktash area so that's what these two sukum are talking about and the Cohen would put on his linen tunic his linen garment um and he would be wearing his linen pants on his flesh and even though these are only two of the uh begotten the special garments that a Cohen would wear are mentioned here actually he was required to put on all four but these are the only two mentioned the hairy messen
