I'm sure by now you've heard the presidential proclamation that Jews should celebrate 250 years of the United States independence by celebrating Shabbos. Who knows what next week? Maybe next week uh the president's going to ask us to wear tefillin or something or to eat cheesecake on Shavuos. Okay, it it's uh these are all good things. Anyway, uh we're going to learn that this Shabbos has other names besides Shabbos 250. I'm sure by now you've heard that this Shabbos is chof tes Iyar and chof tes Iyar is gematria 250. I'm sure you heard that one. Okay, but we're going to start with smuchim iyad connecting sefer Bamidbar parshas Bamidbar with the end of Bechukosai with the end of sefer Vayikra. So last night I was coming home from Lakewood. You know, I Did you know there are Jews in Lakewood? It's amazing. A lot of Jews in Lakewood. So last night I gave a shiur in Lakewood in a place called Torah Links. And on the way back I'm working on smuchim iyad. And I saw the Baal HaTurim of course has an approach, a beautiful approach.
