Okay, we're live. It's Sunday morning at Sward's house. We're starting late. It's uh 10:49. Uh there was big snowstorm on the east coast, so took a while to get here this morning. Uh we do have a couple people here. Was uh actually surprised. Didn't know if anyone would show up this morning with the snow, but uh we we did get uh a little crowd. And there are uh sufot if you do want to come join us. Um it it's not really possible to start the year without acknowledging um something that I haven't fully absorbed which is as I was leaving Shul this morning I heard just very vague details about a tragedy that happened this happened in the evening uh in Sydney Australia evening time the the manora lighting there was a terrorist attack and was killed And there are names for saying uh to Helen. And um as more information comes in, I guess we'll know more. But um here here's here's the thing. I don't want to normalize this because this is absolutely shocking and it's it's not normal. It's a abnormal. At the same time, I just want to remind us that the Jewish people have been through all types of abnorm abnormality. And in fact, one of the themes of the sikas today is how surreal re reality is in in gulus. That in exile reality is unreal. And this is an example of reality being unreal. And we do know that there is a plan and that in the end good prevails.
