Certainly, we're going to learn some things about the Chovot haLevavot which are even allowed during Tisha b'Av, but one of the most difficult things that a person has to take upon themselves during their journey in life is cleaning their mind. Cleaning their mind, clearing their mind. In fact, one of the most difficult tasks that we're all faced with daily is clearing our mind of thoughts that we don't want to have. Especially difficult when we're dealing with past events that have been engraved into our minds. This is even more so for people that are doing teshuvah where they remember their past sins, they remember their past actions that are against Hashem. And they're having a hard time getting over those thoughts. The Chovot haLevavot takes us another step in this spiritual journey and instructions for life to guide us through this task. And with the help of some life-moving stories, the Chovot haLevavot's words come to life.
