I this idea that we spoke about yesterday and I'd like to expand it because I think it has very important applications. Yesterday we talked about keeping your your philosophical balance. Let's suppose you have an argument. And an argument which comes to a conclusion there's a certain attitude especially by the person who's putting the argument forward. Either find something wrong with the argument or accept the conclusion. Because what's your alternative? Your alternative is look the argument in the face and say golly, it looks good to me but I don't believe the conclusion. That sounds totally irrational. Sounds like you're beyond reason. Sounds like you're beyond logic. There's an argument that's supposed to demonstrate a conclusion. You're not saying anything wrong with the argument. So then you have to accept the conclusion. I said yesterday that's a mistake. I'm not fighting with anybody. Anybody who's trained in logic and philosophy knows it's a mistake. It's a mistake because even if you don't see anything wrong with the argument that doesn't mean there's nothing wrong with the argument. There might be something wrong with the argument. And you just don't see it. First thing you might do is do a Google search on the argument and see what other people have to say about the argument. Very often you'll find that the person who's saying it to you is either ignorant or just pulling the wool out of your eyes and not not letting you know
