Welcome to small talk by farm chatter. I'm Naki Weinstein. [music] On this episode of Small Talk, I'm going to be joined by Rabbi David Jaffy, who is the author of the newly published new edition, expanded edition of the volume, What Can I Say today? Shmir Salasha in contemporary times with today's challenges published by a press. Thank you. David for joining me. >> Okay. It's my pleasure to be here. Thank you for the opportunity. >> What can you tell the listeners about this book? >> The safer is a book that I put a many years into in trying to clarify the practical noises issues with Salashan. Many people are learning and other that are based on which are beautiful. But I always felt that I had difficulty applying it in the practical contemporary challenges and shilas that come up and that's what I'm trying to accomplish with the safer. That's what I was going to ask you which is I'm sure you get asked all the time wait I'll just learn I don't need a contemporary volume right there's translations adaptations of so how does your safer differ from that okay so let me give you a little bit of background I remember when I was younger and learning in ko and I would sit with my and we would have discussion and I remember being at the table the base mish and like wondering that discussion and sometimes I say to them maybe
