For the first time in history, this year Lag BaOmer Tashshin Pey Vav Lag BaOmer celebrations in Meron to a significant extent have been cancelled. This has never happened before. Serious caps have been put on how many people could gather outdoors indoors and at first glance, this seems to be quite devastating that the great festivities and the great joy in Meron festivities and the great joy in Meron that has been described by many as supernatural. The fact that it's being curtailed or perhaps even cancelled, it's somewhat devastating. But perhaps there's another perspective on this. Perhaps this is symbolic and reflective of something very great and very important. Although many speak about the wondrous experience of being at Meron on Lag BaOmer, the had somewhat of a dramatically different take on celebrating Lag BaOmer in general and going to Meron specifically. to a student Rebbi Amram, he writes that he's not particularly pleased with the custom of going to Meron on Lag BaOmer and he doesn't quite know what the celebration is all about.
