hi everyone welcome to another edition of the sarm chatter podcast uh on this episode of the podcast I'm going to be joined by Zev Baran who is the author of the series which uncomplete as of now abravanel's world of Torah which is um an English edition essentially ofin Al so I will let him talk about it so first of all thank you for joining me you're welcome and thank you for hosting me sure my pleasure so uh let's hosting me sure my pleasure so uh let's start off tell the listeners a little bit about yourself and your background I grew up in Los Angeles California and um grew up in a family that was um Brash affluent and modern went through public schools in Beverly Hills from uh first grade through 12 through 12 and um picked up picked up what the Beverly Hills uh scene had to offer at um After High School I went to college I graduated from a small liberal arts college in the Northwest Portland Oregon where I studied English Lit after Unity Lit after Unity I spent a little time in Israel including uh a month stent in a kibutz and then a couple days in yal where I was hauled off the wall by Rabbi mayor Schuster ala Shalom brought me to Yeshiva and that was my first introduction to Orthodoxy it didn't last very long like a week I had other plans better plans so
