thank you [Music] Okay so check that everybody is okay everyone's muted perfect okay welcome everybody good evening and it is so wonderful to be back here uh for a special uh Yom Kippur prep using the time we have before Yom Kippur to maximize this day and it's very you to maximize this day and it's very you think about it you know most special days you want to prepare for them you're before your wedding you want to prepare you want to be ready Yom Kippur is a very very auspicious time it's a very special time and it's a time that we need to maximize preparing ourselves preparing ourselves and preparing ourselves for this special day so what is so great about Yom Kippur that we're about to enter into tomorrow evening at about 6 45 roughly in Houston Time sit down sit down that what is so Time sit down sit down that what is so unique about this day that we are going to be preparing for so our sages have a tremendous amount to say about Yom Kippur but not by name in fact you don't find Yom Kippur mentioned almost ever by that name in fact the talmud for Sukkot is called sukkah for Rosh Hashanah it's called Rosh Hashanah for for uh for Purim it's called nigila there are many names that are given for each of the holidays in the talmud not film Kipper it's called the talmud not film Kipper it's called Yama the day the day not Yom Kippur the day unbelievable our sages also tell us that what's special about Yom Kippur is that it's called Yom hakadosh [Music] it's called the holy day what is so holy about this day and we will hopefully see throughout tonight uh a lot about this day it's interesting that in Leviticus when
